Our vision: Knowing Jesus and introducing Him to others
Sundays
Our focus
Because we want to grow to be more like Jesus, we want to understand what the Bible says about him. So when we meet we want to hear from the Bible in a way that is clear and challenging and that connects with ordinary people like us.
We enjoy being together, singing, praying and meeting new people. We want our church meetings to be easy to understand and be part of.
Sunday School
The Sunday School starts halfway through the meeting and is focussed on teaching children at their level. It is for children in Prep through to Grade 4.
Where do we meet?
We meet together on Sunday afternoons at 4.00pm in the Salvation Army hall, located 4 Opal Drive, Blackmans Bay. A creche is available for small children during the meeting.
This month we have the opportunity to give to the work of GOSPEL (work in India). There are envelopes in the hall to use to give to this.
Wednesday Bread Cafe
On Wednesday mornings from 10.00am we have a 'Bread Cafe' at the Salvation Army hall. Everyone in the community is welcome to come along for a coffee and a chat, and we have 'day old' bread available to give away to those for whom it makes a difference.
Introducing God
Are you interested in finding out more about God? Do you want to know what Christianity is all about?. Come along to the next 'Introducing God' course. Hosted on Friday evenings at the Margate Bowls Club, we start with a wonderful meal, followed by listening to a talk by Dominic Steele, then there's some time for an informal discussion. North vs South
Each year on grand final day the southern churches take on the Launceston CRC in a game of AFL football. This year the game will be played in Launceston. To get ready for this we will be running training sessions every Sunday at 1.30pm at Taroona High School oval. Come along if you want to have a kick each Sunday.
